Youth and Family
Ministry
Work in a congregation to provide leadership to youth and
family ministry through the summer. This position will provide you with
opportunities to engage directly with youth ranging from elementary through
high school. You might take groups to camp, run a day camp ministry, organize
service projects, or help establish a new ministry. This position is ideal for
youth ministry majors, education majors, and anyone who loves working with young
people and their families.
Social Media and
Website Production
Do you have a gift for web design and social media
promotion? Spend your summer helping churches develop their online presence by
setting up web pages, Facebook and Twitter accounts, and teaching others how to
manage these sites. This position is ideal for communications majors, people
interested in public relations, marketing majors, and anyone with a passion for
teaching others how to use the Internet for branding and evangelism.
Business Administration
Work with the Gulf Coast Synod office staff to learn how to
manage the operations of a large organization. This position is ideal for business majors, accounting majors, and people
interested in working in administrative positions.
Church Music
Are you a gifted musician? Would you like to learn how to
use that gift in ministry? Some of the best church musicians in the area are
waiting to be your mentor in classical, traditional, or contemporary worship
styles. Spend the summer working in a congregation learning about leading and
shaping worship and congregational life through music.
Internship Details
--Works with a mentor in your field
--Housing may be provided if needed
--Earn a stipend while learning how to use your skills in new
ways
--Work with a team of interns
--Attend the Disciple Project at TLU for leadership training (summer interns)
--Attend an Intern Orientation
